Driving and tipping - ouch

Found this on youtube. I think this is one of the early Smartcars. They changed the wheel base to address this I think. I hope.

YouTube - Smart car hates gravity
I saw a 451 almost tip during a wet pavement skid. They are way too tall for the wheel track. It's like driving a jeep with a lift kit.

LOL

I think that this might be one of the reasons that the 451s have a speed limited in 'Reverse.'

And guys, wheels played no part in that, if anything those boat anchor MB wheels/adapters would have kept that thing squarely planted on the ground!

Not necessarily, if the geometry were altered enough, as well as not allowing it to slide, it's quite possible that wheels contributed.

They are clearly trying to bootleg a turn ** a great move in a 50's Plymouth running from 'Revenuers or if you are Burt Reynolds in Smokey and the Bandit. Pretty stupid under just about any other condition.

I just posted about this like 2 days ago. Yes, obviously that is why speed is limited in reverse on new 451's.
