DRL not an option with comfort package

I was just playing with the new car builder link and you can not add DRL if you have the comfort package. I wonder if the DRL turn all the lights on all the time? That would make the auto lights option not needed.

I called when I got the email and was told, too late... My car is already in production... They said I could find out if it was something the dealer could add as a dealer installed item... As much as I would like them, I think I can live without them...

I was able to add it first, then the comfort package like you have to do with the pods and fog lights.

Where does the smartUSA website or its configurator say that DRLs are part of the comfort package? Look again.

The website:
Comfort Package $850
- Power steering
- Leather seats
- Heated seats
- Rain and light sensor
- Auto-off headlamps with exit delay

The configurator:
Comfort Package - includes the following features $ 850.00
Black leather seats
Heated seats
Electric power steering (eps)
Rain sensing windshield wipers
Light sensor (autolight)
Auto-off headlamps with exit delay

Daytime Running Lamps are not specified under Comfort Package:
-Black leather seats
-Heated seats
-Electric power steering (eps)
-Rain sensing windshield wipers
-Light sensor (autolight)
-Auto-off headlamps with exit delay

However, when adding DRL's after choosing Comfort
"Comfort Package - includes the following features" (implies DRL's)

There appears to be a GLITCH

Is it true or false that Comfort includes DRL's ($50 option), and if true, why are DRL's not specified under comfort?

Are DRL's not compatible with Comfort?

Does "autolight" control DRL's also?

DRLs are lights that are on all the time...typically the high beams running at low voltage. Autolight on the other hand I assume is in reference to a light setup where the lights will automatically turn on when it starts raining or gets darker. Autolight, if this is the case, would be a heck of a lot better than DRL. Sadly both setups make for lazier drivers and especially bad in DRLs is that most of the time people forget to turn on their lights anyway when its raining in the daytime because they can see with the DRLs, problem is it they dont turn on their rear lights...thus no one can see them. Its my opinion that DRLs are pointless.
