From what I have read. All lights turn on as drls. Wich sucks they should have made them like audi, bmw, Lexus or toyota

page 36 09 smart flyer from the dealer. low beam head lamp only on DRL's. page 103 in the owners manual low beams only on with DRL's. the one at the dealer last week with DRL's only low beams on no other lights on at all.

as for the other thing that they all have it. what am i paying $50 to get?

if the all have it not going to spend the $50

You save 20 buying aftermarket and it only turns on the brights instead of all lights

the only acoustic sound mine made was the locks attemting to.. well.. lock. nothing....

Same here except when I hit the panic button by accident and horn went on off (sure the neighbors liked that after 10 PM).

ok sorry guys. We now know it does not work on several 09 models and I will let Smart tech know this. The purpose of my post was to see if anyone else could get the process to work since I could not as well not to debate the merits of DRL's as there is another forum for that already. If I learn more from Smart Tech I will let you know.

It works on cars WITH the DRL option allowing you to turn them off.
