A few days ago I drove my recently purchased (from Canada) '05 cdi from DC to Florida in one day to get it titled. Took just under 16 hours door to door and was doing 68 mph most of the way. Average economy was 52 mpg with the best per tankful at 57 mpg and thats with the windows down.

I'm in the process of removing all those decals from the courier company I bought it from. Half done and its a PITA especially in the heat and humidity down here

You got the wheels turning in my head!! Of course I'd rather have a totaled CDi, fix it then title it here in FL.

Hope you enjoy your CDi, we only just got them in RHD in the UK this year and I bought the first one in Scotland. Totally love it! currently getting 68mpg (which i think is about 57 US)

PLEASE bring your diesel smart by the Tyson's smart center so we can see it?
We are on Leesburg Pike (Rt-7) at the intersection with Tyco road in Tyson's Corner (next to HBL Mercedes)
We have heard about the Diesel variant, but have never seen one up close.

Fuel is sold in litres here, its currently around £1.05 ($1.71) for petrol 95RON and diesel. Works out about $6.45 for a US gallon, which I bet is far more than what you currently paying!

Yes it is; about 2 1/2 times as much
