I think we'd feel better if PAG would communicate the vehicle location to the dealers. Not that hard, but apparently PAG doesn't feel the need to do that. They schedule the pickup from port and delivery to the dealer, so why not share the info?

Just got this from smart USA over an hour ago -

"Dear Reservation Holder,

This has been a remarkable week for smart USA! On Wednesday we delivered the first smart fortwo in the United States and, as of today, deliveries to Reservation Holders are taking place at smart centers nationwide.

We appreciate how anxious all of our Reservation Holders are to take delivery of their very own smart fortwo. We also apologize for not being able to communicate more specific information regarding the status of your individual order.

Reservation Holders whose vehicles are in route from Germany have been notified by smart USA and their dealer. Within the next 30 days any Reservation Holder who has a confirmed order in production will also be notified by smart USA and their dealer.

For all other Reservation Holders, we are working diligently to provide you with a 90 day window for your anticipated delivery, based on assumptions available at that time. This information should be available by the end of March.

Again, we appreciate your continued patience and enthusiasm!

They are trying, but remember this is a new distributor and I have a feeling they have both "start-up" kinks and are overwhelmed right now.

Give them some time they are trying hard.

Found mine hiding in plain sight on the front row of the lot now if the dealer can find some missing paperwork good to go... will follow up with an out the door price...do wonder what the holdup is...

Volvo had a similar loss in 2002.

We, 1173s, are all frustrated and we have a right to be frustrated. We haven't taken any bait, and if we call our dealers 20 times a day, FINE. We reserved in good faith on the very first day and know our cars arrived in port the end of December and now one shows up on ebay and most of us haven't heard squat. The dealers CAN get information from PAG if they're strong enough. The dealer in NJ contacted the trucking company. All we want is information. So, Bumblebee enjoy being patient and circuspect in McKinney and SmartCard enjoy cynicism in Louisville, after all Cynics are there own best audience, but let the rest of us mere mortals moan, groan and be hopeful.
