Electric Power Steering

It's an option...is it needed? I would think if it's a necessity for safety it would be included. So, I'm wondering if it can be left out and still perform well.

Thanks ;) Hope everyone is having a good week so far

Have not driven one without, but the power steering in the smart is the best for road "feel" I've ever driven.

Thanks I didn't realize how many posts there were on this subject. I guess I should've poked around a bit before posting :| ;)
