Electrical wiring problems

For a few months, i've had a problem with the brights: they flicker as tho I'm trying to send signals in Morse code. Thankfully I rarely use the brights, so this hasn't been a big issue....

Then I had a 6-CD changer installed by my dealership. Now I have a new trouble or two:

When I change gear from D to N, the radio/CD sometimes turns itself off and them immediately back on. And sometimes the radio just turns off-on of its own accord. And sometimes this happens when I put on the brights

Now oll have to take car back for a repair. Bummer

Check that ground wire - all the battery connections for that matter. Could just be loose....maybe.

Ditto that Bum-bling-B! My installer wasn't about to do a flakey grounding job, knowing the issues they cause in the smarts. Guess I'm just lucky!!

Credit cubefx for the pic!!!

Thanks for the advise. I, too, have been having problems with the headlights flickering and clicking when the brights are on, and the radio losing power. The ground wire was loose, however, it was the chassis end of the one running from the battery to the chassis. You can see the brown wire in the picture above, bottom center. A 10 mm wrench, and no more problem.

I mentioned it to my local dealer, who suggested that the problem may be originating when the battery is hooked up after being disconnected for shipping.

Thanks for the info, as the dealership is just scratching their heads and tried a new headlight switch, which did not work.

Bill I had my dealer look at my flickering head light issue, they attempted to tighten down the grounding posts and that was all they could do for me...
