Engine Light Came On

My wife was running errands today in our 2003 Smart and the engine light came on and the engine lost power. Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong?????????

Can anyone recommend a repair center in Las Vegas, NV?

Get thee to an auto parts store that has obdII port reader. Once you know the trouble code you will have your first clue. Good luck.

It sounds like you blew an exhaust valve (probably in the #2 cyclinder). I had the exact same thing happen. Only thing different was that it I heard a large "pop" first.

The right way to solve your problem however, is to do what the BB Benz guy said and get an OBDII reader. (I would also get one that reads CAN to.
