mginsa,

I'm extremely disappointed in the "much lower than anticipated" MPG rating. It's a 2 seater for f sake. They need to get it higher!!! Too late for 08.

Filled Zippy for this week tonight with 87 octane/pump. 203 miles 7 gal. cost me $21.28 for the week, 29mpg. It has been cold and snowy here. had it been premium that goes for $3.27 for 93 octane/pump would have cost me $1.61 more.

zippy is an 18 year old Miata still waiting for lil Bogger to get delivered

Your 3 pot Mitsubishi engine & Mpg

I work for Mitsubishi in the Uk and we have the 1124cc 3Cylinder Mitsubishi engine in our Colt

Overall MPG combined average is 51.4mpg (uk gallon) running with 95ron in a heavier 5 seat car. than the 42

I can tell you ,this engine seems to need a little running in, time to loosen up. Your mileage should improve after a few thousand miles

My Smart Roadster has the previous Suprex 698cc Turbo intercooled unit .Tank to tank fills give me 48ish mpg (uk gallon) it does not seem to make any difference if I give it beans. or drive Miss Daisy

I'll be happy with routinely getting 35 - 40 "around town" with the top down!
Considering style, comforts, and technology I don't think there's a single cracker box around that will come close to the smart for delivering the whole package!
