The extended warranty offered by my Smart dealer seems very expensive. I was thinking of buying an extended warranty from a third party service, specifically Warranty Direct of Uniondale NY. Has anyone had any experiences good or bad with this service? Has anyone declined the Smart warranty because of the expense?
These are not really warranties. These are service contracts. Kind of like health insurance for your car. As long as you understand that, and read every ounce of the contract, you should be fine. Oh, and make sure they pay the shop, and not reimburse you later.
