Yeah, GEICO did the same to me. Unfamiliar territory/car/driver? They'll stiff you and hope for the best. Try State Farm or Farmers. My rate with Farmers is about $70/mo full coverage.
Yowza! Squash that gecko. Or is it tar those cavemen? Or maybe it's gag those aging performers who translate for real people? That's the problem. Geico has so many ad campaigns going they need all that money to pay for them.

wow...just looked at the liberty mutual, but for some reason it stopped and said it couldn't finish...although the special smart car info was nice! oh and progressive was $449/mo.!!! even more than geico! I will try State Farm...
Geico covers my smart for $450.20/6 months. Of course, as I have posted elsewhere, lots of factors come into play: age, experience, record, location, credit, number... therefor, it's unfair to compare.
With geico....my "quoted" rate is $2,463.00/6 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's craziness. I've been hearing things from GEICO for the SMART around $275 - $300 for 6 months. I think the guy you talked to was on crack. I know someone with a Porsche who pays less than a grand for 6 months. (FYI - the Porsche is with USAA)
