they exist to make money.
shop as carefully for your money as you shopped for your car there is no law that prohibits saving the money you need to make your purchase the option is to use the source that charges you the least. shop around there are big differences in the offers.

Had everything set up with my credit union and the dealer beat the total cost of borrowing the money your results may vary.

I used a credit union and got 5.5% for 60 months and intend to pay it off ASAP. That was a better deal than the deal had which was 5.9%.
