First Fill-up...VERY Satisfying!!!

Filled up for the first time today in my new SMART cabriolet. I was down to one bar left on the fuel indicator...pulled into the gas station and pumped 93 octane. $26 to fill it up!!! Still can't believe it...and neither could the other people all standing around quickly pumping past the 50, 60 and 70 dollar figure.

I had my first fill-up on Sunday (Passion). I was at 0.9 gal on the reserve display and 336 on the odometer. I pumped 7.99 gal => 42.05 mpg. That felt good - especialy since I have no way of knowing if the dealer had filled it up completely (although it showed full - 8 bars - when I picked it up).

How do you display how many gallons are left in the reserve?

The Owner's Manual states on page 137:
You are driving on reserve fuel if there are no more than 1.0 US gal of fuel in the tank. If this occurs,
-the fuel pump symbol in the fuel level display flashes
-the reserve fuel indicator shows the fuel level in the tank at exactly 0.1 US gal...

BTW: the manual is available in the Site Navigation menu, at left...

It'll tell you when you're in the reserve. If it doesn't, you're not using the reserve.

In 1600 miles I've only seen the reserve indicator once, and filled up at 0.9 gallons just because I don't like the idea of running out in rush hour traffic, which is the only type of traffic I really drive in.

And that was the first tank I ever passed $30 with. At $31.40, I think, with premium gas. Not bad for almost a month's driving.
