Picked up our Passion last friday nite. Wife's car so she drove home. I drove to Lowes to get some touch up paint for our Civic because a buyer was coming in the morning. Sold Civic by 10:30am!!! Had that Civic for 12yrs. Great cars. So we packed up our Passion for an overnite camping trip on the Rim (Northern Arizona).

I drove up, about 150mi, and found the transmission in Auto was much easier to get used that some threads have suggested. This I now believe is one of the more fun aspects of the car. The elevation climb is about 5K feet and a few places we had to downshift to 4th. At first I switched to Manual Mode to do this but later I found it's really very easy to do in Auto. Maintained a minimum 55 on uphill and cruised at about 65 (only had 20miles on car when we left). We had the air conditioning on the whole time and it was 108 out when we left. There is alot of heat that comes thru the sunroof and have ordered a custom fitted sun shade for this from

Great vendor and prompt service.

We setup our tent, air mattress et al. Went to dinner and on our way back to camp it started to rain. The intermittant rain sensing wipers worked great. It poured that nite and our new tent kept us dry. You've seen news reports about the Grand Canyon town that had flash flood? We'll that was the storm that hit us (fortunatly we were on high ground) we were east of there. Drive home next day was great too. We filled tank from half level and calculated 43mpg! First half tank so we'll see what it is after some commute miles and a few more tanks.
Love this car.

Great dealer here in Chandler, AZ as well. Easiest car purchase ever made.
