Hi there,
Well, we took the smart to Vegas for a wedding photography conference. We bought the car on Thursday and were on the way to Vegas on Saturday. I, being 6'2" sat comfortably in the passenger side. It's really my wife's car I'm just enjoying the ride :-) Here is a link to day one of the trip.

As for gas mileage. Fill up numero uno in Winslow we tracked the mileage at 31MPG. Now let me tell you the road/travel conditions. We really wanted to see if this little thing could play with the big kids. We traveled about 65-80 MPH into strong head winds. If any of you have taken I-40 west from Albuquerque, you will know it is LOT'S of up hill. We kept up just fine even passed a few big riggs. I was surprised at the amount of torque for hill climbing.
So the second fill up was a completly different story. We tracked the mileage at 43MPG. On the second tank we eased off a bit going a relaxing 60-70MPH and their was considerably less wind.
Overall I really dig this car. Who knows I may get one for myself ;-)
