Fix for uncomfortable seat belts

Anybody have a fix for the way the seatbelt comes across your shoulder (neck)

I'm a big guy and it comes across my neck.

There are sleeves available.

Shoulder Belt Placement
And someone found a place in Hong-Kong that has sent several very satisfactory and cheap products, but I cannot find the post(s).
Anyone can help bobinoregan?
Thank you.

ebay

I got mine for $10.51 but the seller I used started bids at $0.01. Shipping to the lower 48 is $11.79.

Here's the link to the pads I got. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-S...spagenameZWD1V

They look very good in person and match the smart logo.

I don't think the Smart pad is going to help his problem. The pad would still go over his neck. Although it might be a little more comfortable, it's still dangerous. I think there's an extension made someone out there. I've seen it but can't remember where. Maybe calling the dealer and asking if they know of such a device.

I use some little clip things that I got at Canadian Tire (auto parts store) for about $5. Something similar is mentioned in the thread that JPaul linked to.

Almost any of the auto-parts stores will carry a little rubber thingee that snaps onto the lap belt at around the button area. When you put on yer belt just slip the shoulder strap into the clip and slide it to exactly where you like it . I think they cost about 4 or 5 bucks for a pair of em and they work just peachy.

There isn't enough width in the car frame to really get the belts to adjust away from your neck without using the " magic thingee " on the lap belt....

Or you could go the free route like me: pull the seatbelt out slightly farther than normal and twist it (right at the buckle) about 2-3" and then plug it in. It will keep it off your neck (and for the gals, it puts the shoulder strap comfortably between your, uhm, girls).

I do that on my bimmer and every rental car I am in (I travel alot for work).

I got two for about $3 or was it $2.50. They are cheap, flimsy and best of all..... THEY WORK!!!!! They keep the belt strap off my neck and make it comfortable for my boobs.

Glad to see this post. When I went on the test drive that was the one thing that drove me crazy. I'm short and the darn seat belt kept sliding up my neck. Nice to know there is a gadget that will solve this problem. Now I just need my smart car!
