I looked at a set from www.cocomats.com at the dealer in Charlotte, NC. They have the pattern for the 451 and they are awesome. They have a lot of choice in colors and are really high quality and as an old Porsche and Lancia guy I love coco mats.

I'll be going with the OEM Rubber and the OEM carpeted mats (for summer).

I've tried to use aftermarket mats in my previous cars. I'm too anal over how it looks to be satisfied, plus fighting with them shifting around all of the time because of not being sized to fit the footwells, and the potential lack of complete protection sells me on the OEM ones.

Plus, I want the tailless sperm on my floorboard

My wife bought the mats from the dealer for her cabrio for $65. I got almost new mats for my passion for $1 at the pick-n-pull junkyard. I feel smarter getting in my smart with dirty shoes now.

Piicked up my mats at the MB deal $86. The woman who I paid said " $86 dollars is not a bad price for the smart mats". I said " if I'm paying $86 dollars I don't want anyone to put there feet on them". She thought that was funny but I wasn't joking! Hehe, all in all I know that those mats were way over priced but hey they look great and that's what I wanted.

Lloyd Matts Photos

Here are how the mats from Lloyd Mats look inside the car. These have an optional silver vinyl (Neon) trim which echo's the trim around dash elements. The fit works, but looks like it's a universal shape for both 450/451.

I find the plush carpet easier to vacuum and it adds additional comfort over a thin mat.

Custom Mats

Just received my full 3 piece custom set (black with red dots) from www.cocomats.com.

They add a fabulously classy touch to the car and match my red interior beautifully.

See for yourself ....
