Florida lovebug removal?

Ok, they are here and they are not coming off very easy.
Any suggestions on removal without hurting the finish.

Oh, my - how long have you lived in FL?

There are many solutions to the lovebug problem down here. Some say to spray the front end with PAM - it works but looks absolutely terrible and takes a really good washing to remove. Another technique is to wipe the entire front end down with a Bounce dryer sheet after wetting with a bit of water. The bug carcasses will then wash off easily.
Lastly, and the one I use, wax the front end and exposed frontal surfaces three or four times using a high quality wax. When you get into a bunch of the critters, hose them off immediately after getting home. Usually a good hosing is all that is needed. If they're really bad, a car wash with a high pressure hose will finish it up.
And don't forget to redo all of the protection again~!
If it ain't the alligators, it's the damned lovebugs!

Put a wet towel over the front end for several minutes to soften them up. I use Plexas plastic cleaner then and it works very well and polishes at the same time. Plexas available on many web sites.

Some folks have posted good results using Rejex on the front panels; waiting for mine to arrive to try it out.

Love Bugs

Was told baby shampoo would loosen them. I haven't tried this yet.
I originally waxed the front of my car and poured a pail of water over the front after I arrived home. The plain water with gentle scrubbing, using a soft webbed design bug removal sponge worked well. This quick fix was followed with another pail of water poured over the areas in question. Done.

flpat, don't use wax under Rejex. If you do the rejex will not cure properoy and will not stay on

Make sure you use a "good" quality dryer sheet, a cheap brand doesn't seem to work...must be the amount of chemical in the sheets
