Fog lamps too expensive

TIP
If you are thinking about buying fog lamps for your smart... think again
Here are the prices for the parts.... Crazy

You'll need:
A 451 820 67 10 - New Switch Panel (x1). Price 125.50. plus tax
A 001 984 65 29 - Fixing screws need 4. Price 2.03 plus tax "EACH"
A4518260118- Plastic covers -need 2. Price $15.90 plus tax each

LEFT lamp
Merc part number: 251 820 07 56. Price $61,25 plus tax
RIGHT lamps
Merc part number: 251 820 08 56. Price $61,25 plus tax

Total 287.92 plus tax and installation.

The good news is that the wiring is already in the car.
Crazy if you consider that the original optional from the factory was $120.

in the car do you mean that the harness already exists right down to the mounting openings?

I was thinking...what!? I didn't pay that for those factory lights. Just goes to show my rule pays off. Buy everything you want on the car right up front.

THick THICK THICK fog today here...

I have fog lamps on my Avalon and they are not doing a thing.
I am seriously rethinking the fog lamps aftermarket.

They are completely superior in performance to any OE fog lamp. And Hella makes tons of OE stuff for cars in Europe. Just use the Smart wiring and hide the switch that comes with the lamps. I bought a set for another car a couple of months ago on Amazon for $94 delivered.
Hi there,

I have tried to buy off the shelf fog lamps but you have to modified the front plastic panels of the car ... not such a good idea or an easy task.

Regards
Gus
