OK, I have had this car for sometime now. Racked up 16.5k miles on it. It has averaged exactly 37mpg over the last 4k+ miles I have driven it. Today I added cruise. OMG!! It was SOOO simple!!! Took 20 minutes and cost $120. While it doesn't have the character of the smart, it is still distinctive.

Got a chance to clean it up today and decided the heck with work, I wasn't going to go. Showed up, but told no one I was here then left once I understood no one missed me.

~ I went to a party @ a friends place, couldn't find a " normal " parking space so I decided to make my own space by backing in between 2 parallel parked cars .. . When I came out, one of the parallel parked cars had left and a Yaris had backed in and parked just like I did!

So yeah, Yaris's DO play nice with Smarts
Good luck with the new purchase

Nice car, that was my second choice. Probably will do better on resale and overall reliability.

I think the Yaris is a fine choice. Not everybody can get around with just two seats.

I'm pretty sure the Yaris isn't a drive-by-wire car but did anyone hear the comments made by Steve Wozniak about his 2010 Prius and unintended acceleration problems? He says it's probably a software problem related to cruise control. Toyota now wants to borrow his car for a week.

Well I have had the Yaris in my possession for some time now. Detailed it again today for the first time in a good 9 months . Waxed the exterior but I still need to shampoo the interior and do a general cleaning in there and mount my Scangauge in the driver's side glovebox door.

Driven it almost 15k miles now though the car is getting close to 28k total.

Not a lick of trouble and I finally rotated the tires today, a little late but at least I finally did it. It's still a good car and a good alternative to the smart when I need to haul something bigger or more than 2 people.

I wish I could figure out a way to get the red clay stains off the undercarriage. I have the same problem on my smart. Soaking it in Purple Stuff and scrubbing doesn't phase it.
