Added Nissan Versa, Toyota Yaris, Scion xD, Mini Cooper (non S), and - for the sake of everyone who tells us their Geo got xx MPG - all available years of the Geo Metro.
Starting tracking finally and going to track regardless weather or not I get 7/8 reading on full tank. I was mostly at highway speeds of 70+ with AC on on this tank. I was so hoping to get at least 316 miles on a tank which would equal out to 36 mpg which is the "combined" rating for the smart.
I occasionally get the dreaded 7/8 full on my non-Kermit Smart. Regardless, it always uses the same amount of fuel. Mileage has been horrible lately because I use the A/C. Drove Kermit today and went with A/C off, MUCH better mileage. I should fill up tomorrow afternoon or Wednesday morning. Guesstimating 42-43mpg this tank...maybe. Non-Kermit Smart will be in the garage all week and won't be driven until Friday afternoon.........

I've been getting 7/8 and then not doing fuelly thinking my tracking of mileage wouldn't be accurate. I've got 7/8 lost two times and each time after a bit it popped to full after about 20 miles but now i'm at 40 and it didn't pop back up to full.

This has been my experience as well. The 7/8 thing doesn't bother me and doesn't affect mileage. However, early or late pump shutoffs can have a huge impact on a single tank's MPG and that's why you have to average it over several tanks to get a reasonably good reading.
