I always stop fueling at the first click and also try to use the same pump at the same station as much as I can to create a consistency for tanks of gas. I'm taking about a 3mpg hit from A/C use right now.

I lost about 3 mpg with the A/C. I always use Fuelly even when I get the 7/8 (which is often) as I do get the same amount of fuel so I am sure the guage is off not the calculations.

First click here as well and I try to use the same station/pump when I can. As one would expect, A/C use and city driving on our Indy road trip made a noticeable dent in mileage, but my Fuelly average still managed to inch up.

I missed one fuel up because I rest the trip meter and lost how many miles I drove (forgot it so couldn't input data on fuelly). I've got over 14000 miles tracked right now and have this nag that the one missed fuel up out all that negates the validity of my entire tracking. I'm tracking by trip meter so it should not hurt anything that mileage I can consider being part of the mileage I haven't tracked on car as I didn't start tracking after I had the car a while. I'm probably just being over sensitive but missing that one fuel up during the nationals bugs me.

I don't think there were any new Insights on Fuelly back in April 2009.

If you have the car since day 1 you could get the tank by taking total miles less miles tracked on fuelly. You also need your fillup for the tank.

Just make up the numbers for the missed fuelup... play around with it until you get a "fuel up" that fits an average .. then post that...
sure you will know that you "cheated" once.. but your overall tracking won't be affected by that much in the long run.
