Funniest car meet I've seen......

OK. I'm part of the MN Smart Chapter. We've gotten together a few times now it's always been fun. I know there has to be other chapters out there: Hummers, VW Bugs, Minis, Corvettes, etc. I understand. We all have somewhat unique cars in our own different way.

But I saw something today that made me laugh. On our way to dinner tonight, I saw a bunch of young kids (about a dozen or so) all staring under hoods of two cars. As I drove closer, I realize it was about 8-10 of the same cars all lined up next to each other.........all PONTIAC BONNEVILLES. Nothing special...no special mods..no shiny chrome rims as far as I can tell. They were regular plain Jane Bonnies. Are you kidding me?

What next? Ford Focus club? Dodge Caravan chapter? I had to share that with everyone. I guess everyone is proud of their cars just like we are proud of ours.

For years I was in the Volvo Car Club. Talk about bland, but we had fun. Could it be better in the BMW Club? I think it's a matter of shared interests and experiences regardless of the marque.

Well I am a member of THE FORD FOCUS ENTHUSIAST SITE :: FOCALJET and have owned two Foci. I know that may seem odd to all of you but hey we had fun at GTG's anyways. I now go to Homepage - NewBeetle.org - The Ultimate Resource for New Beetle Enthusiasts new GTGs and plan on attending smart ones too. I guess I'm just a sucker for meeting like minded individuals.

I think that's great! I thought about a WVO club around here. Different types of cars but all powered by the same thing. Garbage.

People like to get together with others who have things in common. I'm willing to bet there's a club for just about every car or hobby.

In the age of the internet, every car has people who love it enough to get together and talk about it. Considering what would be the car to replace my Old Volvo, I was looking at the Dodge Caliber, and thought it was a nice car, nothing special. Low and behold, their is a community out there for them.
Then again, once I see a forum for a Camry, I would have to say that they went a little far.

I once saw a club for the Cheverolet Chevette. If there are enough people interested in something, there will probably be a club for it some where.

That's not a club. That's group therapy.
