Garage
Here's your gas cap holder pictures. The cap doesn't always stay in place on the first try.

my town is no self serve, although each town can make their own rules and the neighboring towns are self-serve. the price differential is not very much and not always predictable (sometimes full serve is cheaper than self-serve).

i personally wouldn't mind an 18-year old girl pumping my gas for me.

This is also true in New Jersey. The only time I am able to fill it up myself is when I travel outside of New Jersey.

In New Jersey, the gas prices for full service is comparable with other states self service prices (occasionally lower ).

When I first started driving, about a bazillion years ago, there were Metro 500 stations that always had 7 or 8 CUTE girls working there, they always washed the windows while filling up the tank for you. They wore bright yellow jumpsuits that left little to the imagination. We didn't care how much gas cost or that you had to wait in line for 20 minnutes. They always made good tip money too. Especially when they checked the pressure in your tires.

Kind of makes you wish the smart had the gas cap down lower, doesn't it?

I think that we need MORE entry level jobs for our young people. I had a summer job pumping gas and making submarine sandwiches when I was 15 and I learned a lot about some important life skills. Like showing up on time everyday, dealing with money and customers. And where the gas filler was on a lot of 50's cars!!

It's not you, it's that we don't get enough practice filling up. . .memory fades before I'm back at the station for another 8 gal.
