Gas filler door decals again.....

Today, Smart Center Jacksonville called to let me know about the arrival of the new gas filler doors. I started a thread a couple of months ago about the decals falling off the Brabus models. They told me the new gas doors are in and I will be going in tomorrow at 10 am to have mine replaced. I will report back tomorrow how things go. The new ones are supposed to be a totally new gas door with the Brabus logo mounted differently than before.

My car is almost 3 months old, and all badges are still present and accounted for.

I have one of those badges from www.asmartcar.com on my gas door. Its a really cool look for it.

You know, that's a terrific idea! It would be great if asmartcar.com offered a specific fuel door badge that contained the same information and style but was sized to perfectly fit that location (complete with finger cut-out).

I went in to my smart dealer today to get the new and improved gas filler door for my Brabus coupe. Well to my surprise, there is no new gas door. I was told they have improved the quailty of the adhesive on the new decal. It was installed and covered with green painter's tape. I was told to keep it dry for at least 24 hours before removing the tape. If this one falls off, I will most likely get one of the metal gas doors with the faux hex head bolts and be done with it.
