Gauges

I did not purchase the accessory tach & clock for my SMART. Does anyone know of an alternative gauge setup.

Got my valances painted to match and the pods from smart-parts-direct for 495.00 pounds. I just put the pods in and it took all of 15 minutes! The pods were 122.50 with the rings and the valances were 280.00 s/h 74.50 + a paypal fee.

The UK and Continentals and Canada cannot see any more water temperature in their W451s than we can (you could in the W450s). The only difference is that they have a freeze-warning indicator if the temperature is below +3C.

I purchase my Smart without the gauges since they had a car on the lot with everything ELSE I wanted on it and no gauges in-stock with the Parts Dept. I ordered the gauges and drove home in the car. Lived without them for about 2 weeks and now have the extra pods on the dash. I wouldn't have it any other way, even when I am NOT driving in manual mode on the tranny. The extra info of the tach is really nice even if you aren't shifting yourself. I don't NEED the 2nd clock and am thinking of going with a PLX gauge set-up in that pod if I can get it to fit/work.
