Yep. I leave town for a weekend and - sure enough - Dean from Laguna Niguel calls me and lets me know that there's an orphan Passion on the lot. Damn it!

At least I know that I'm pretty close to the top of the list. I believe I'll be spending alot more time sitting next to the phone with my checkbook over the coming weeks...

Call 'em back to confirm your interest. Stay positive, stay sunshiney and friendly. You'll be near the top of the list unless they have a written policy saying "back o' the line." Without a written policy to tell them a sequence, everyone has a fighting chance.

Call back and express your interest. That's what I did to get my parents their orphan. Got a call a week after I missed the first call. Make sure your enthusiasm is visible through the phone.
