It seems to be happening in the first 3 gears but not consistently ... and not only when it's cold ... this is very strange. I'll take her in next week I think to see what's up. Stay tuned ...

Keep us informed Rover. I have a smart just like yours with beige interior as well. I guess Giget has a twin sister (probably many out there if you tell the truth about it). I have 718 miles on mine so far. Nothing strange yet from the transmission, and I drive it in auto all the time. I'll keep a keen eye on it though.
