Gieco full coverage?

I just got off the phone with a Gieco representative and he said something about that they would only cover liability on SOME smart cars but he would need my vin to know exactly they could do full coverage...

Does anyone have Gieco and do you guys have full coverage on your smart? Is that guy for real or is he talking out of his ass?

I can't get this car without full coverage... anyone who knows, please reply. I really appreciate it!!

I have Geico and had no problems getting covered.

I have State Farm on both of my Smarts and have full coverage on each.

Maybe he can only provide the minimum liability coverage if the car has salvage title or something like that and he needs the VIN to verify? Maybe he thought you had bought a Tata Nano? Or maybe he was just on a weed break and you caught him at a bad moment. Who knows? Farmers has me and my cabrio fully covered.

They will probably only fully insure the 451 models and only do liability on the 450 models because parts are not available for the grey market cars.

Maybe they don't offer full coverage on grey market 450s.

He is talking out of his ass.
When I bought my smart, it took my GEICO representative about 5 minutes to switch the full coverage over from my Ford Focus to the smart.

Try another phone call to GEICO, and if you get the same crap, ask for a supervisor.

Hmmm, maybe that's it. Perhaps they are not willing to insure the 450's that are out there. Good point.
