Goblin pilot

I have been driving my Passion for a couple of weeks now. I commute to LA everyday. I was offered 20 Grand last Thursday for my car by a real estate developer who driving a brand new Toyota Prius. I did not sell. This car reminds me a car version of an old experimental jet fighter (XF-85?) called the Goblin. If you could picture a Smart Car version of an F-86 Sabre Jet, the Goblin is it. The Goblin flew well, and was hilarious to look at. It was known as a parasite fighter in that it was dropped out of a mother ship (B-29) and buzzed around the sky, then returned to the mother ship. (The program was later cancelled due to retrieval issues).

Goblin

You are right about the looking like a Goblin. The mother ship however was a B-36. We have both on display here at Wright Patterson AFB in the National Museum of the United States Air Force. I think I will name mine Goblin....
Picking it up tomorrow morning in Devon, PA.
