Good idea but......

As a big-time golfer, I absolutely love the idea. My only concern is driving along on a highway and looking back in the rear view mirror to see cars behind me swerve as my bag just fell off the rack. There goes my $300 driver. There goes all my ProV1s. There goes my irons.

I don't know how many times I've driven a cart on the course and have my bag or my friends bag fall off the cart. Just when you think you strapped it on tight, a bump would cause the bag to fly off.

I just don't think I can take a chance unless there's 4-5 straps to secure the bag.

Good idea though!!!

Here's another one from Smart Car Parts and Accessories » Smart Car Universe .com -

It's set up for the Canadian market, and I'm not sure the hitch is legal in the United States. But it does look like it would protect your clubs!

A friend and I are currently designing a golf carrier for the back of cars that bags will not fit. We have a great design, but I do not have a Smart yet so I can not design an attachment for the car. Does it have a tow package. That is the best way to mount them. I have one for two or Four.

The reason I started designing it is because I have a Hummer H3, and we had to take two cars for four of us to go golfing one day. That just seemed crazy.

I was hoping a smaller bag would do the job.
