I agree

I have had mine for a week now and agree with your comments. I would really like some type of armrest too. The parking brake handle is really long and takes up lots of space. Maybe they could make that shorter and have a small narrow armrest that folds.

I would also like a coolant temp gauge. IF I remember the Euro version did. Fuel on one side and temp on the other rather than the fuel along the bottom.

Everyone that has ridden in mine comments on how comfortable it is, even on the highway. In heavy winds I can feel it get blown around but if I hold the wheel steady and don't correct it does stay straight.

The coin holder works OK in Canada because we use one and two dollar coins.
We call them Loonies (because there is a picture of a Loone on one side (the bird not the patient LOL) and twonies.

Yet another post resurrected from the dead. Is there something odd going on this week?

"the sound quality is great but would be much better if there were a couple speakers in the back area ... better balance that way"
No! that would just mud up the sound stage with rear fill.. Upgrading the door speakers with separate mids and tweets is the way to go.

"The lock on the glove box is useless ..." YES....
"The coin-holder is useless too ..." the material makes the coins rattle!!!! why would you have a purpose built rattle box in a small car???? "unless you think holding 4 quarters is useful" not now days.. I agree!

"The seats are nice and comfortable .... It would be nice if they could recline back further though ..." you can! just operate the lever, keeping it in the "UP" position, while seated and push with your back to force the seat to recline further. This will bend back the limiter tab that comes with the seat to stop it from crushing the optional trunk cover..... both seats can go back quite a bit!!! once done. And NO it does not ruin any normal operation of the seat nor does it stay reclined forever.. it merely increases the range of possible recline.

"Road noise is noticeable but not bad ..." Dynamat extreme over the engine lid... DONE!

"Those seeking a center arm-rest" Look for "Genius" arm rest option that is the best one out there.
"This isn't going to be a long road-trip car for me - nor was it designed to do so..." change the front skinny wheels and tires for rears and enjoy long rides.....

"I think I'm going to track down a spare tire..." sell only one of your fronts... keep other as spare (remove tpms and use regular valves)

"One last request is for a roof-rack ... or at least the ability to use Thule or Yakima rack systems." you CAN use them as they rest and clamp down on the trideon and not the plexy roof.....

I have a couple of those from when I went to Canada. I will see if the 'gold' dollar coin will fit in the coin slots. I have a few with me. They do not seem to catch on in the US. I think they are neat.

A friend noticed my quarters in the coin slots the other day. He said it reminded him of the coin operated washers and dryers at the laundromats. He wanted to know if 4 quarters gave me 20 more minutes of driving time

I try to keep the new presidential US dollar coins with me for tips. They sometimes end up in the coin slots, fitting easily. I sure wish more people would use them. I think I only received them in change once. I have to go to the bank to get rolls.

As do I, and that's really the one thing that's stopped the dollar coins from gaining popularity in the US. Vending companies have been slow in (or stubbornly against) updating the coin receivers to accept the new coins. Part of that is because of the US Mint's stupid decision to make the early dollar coins almost the exact same size and weight as the quarter. The new gold ones are much larger and have enough of a weight difference to machine the coin counters to tell them apart.

Some are slowly accepting the new coins. At work we just got a new soda machine that takes them. I tend to get them in change often from the post office, and have a small stack of them on the desk now to use if/when I need that burst and run out of the stash in my desk.
