Then I guess it's your call. But you can tell him that if he has a problem getting rid of it with all that stuff on it to call you back. You just never know they just might.

Just my .02, but if you're still unsure at this point, pass this one up. There are plenty of others out there.

yeah - but it seems like all the other ones (I say "all" - but really its like 3) Cabrios that have been offered to me where loaded up with dealer options... not one of them were under $20K... I guess this is just the norm now...

I'm going to pass.... I don't like this practice... I'll just wait for a regular cabrio to become avail... if its next week, its next week... if its Nov, then that is OK too...

smart move. It's a lot of money to spend and not get exactly what YOU want.

After you get your car (Equipped for you), subtract the OTD (Out the door) price you paid from what would have been the OTD price of the car you didn't want.

Divide that by the number of additional months you waited to get the car you did want...... That is the amount you saved per month of waiting to get the car of your dreams.

The correct answer is,

yes, if you are happy with the deal. And
no, if you are unhappy with the deal.

It's worth it if you are willing to pay for it.

The correct answer is the feeling in your gut. In this case you made the right call. You feel it's a bad practice and I wholeheartedly agree with you.

It's like right after the Katrina disaster, merchants were selling a bottle of water for $3-$5. Sure people bought it so they must have thought it was worth it. But to me, it's taking advantage of the situation (in this case the demand for the car).
