I got my orphan with a boatload of stuff added to it. The dealer had two in the showroom so I went for it. There are wheels out there that I would have liked better, but I'm ok with the chrome ones I got. The chrome package isn't much and they made big bucks on it. I do really like the Xenon headlights and the bluetooth, but again they charged outrageous prices. I weighed my options and made a spot decision to buy the car. I'm in my car a year ahead of time and I got some cool but overly expensive stuff. I'm happy and having fun. If paying for extras isn't worth the wait for you or you're the type to brood on getting ripped off for the life of your car then I wouldn't do it. I'm not good at delayed gratification. When I want something I want it now and I don't mind paying for it. It would seem that the dealers are all going to try to make money by adding the extras to every orphan. It's their way of getting around the deal with Penske to charge as configured. If you want one you're probably going to have to pay a little extra. These are car dealers after all. Have you ever met one that honestly wanted to give you an easy fair deal? Unfortunately, until the demand dies down the practice will continue. It's all a matter of how much waiting is worh to you.
