Used to have OnStar phone service in my Monte (sound quality went down hill so I stopped the service). Really freaked the boys friends out when I'd ask them to call home, have them recite the number to my car and then to have their parents voice come out of thin air.

Yea, I hate bad drivers using cell phones. Talking on your cell phone seems to make people into bad drivers. The jammers would be cool but I think they're illegal in the US except for government use. Doesn't California have a cell phone use law?

The California law requires a hands free set up, but doesn't prohibit talking while driving the way I understand it.

As much as I hate to look in my rv mirror and see some idiot yappin' on their cell phone as they are dangerously getting closer to my bumper, I'd rather have them talking on it rather than stare at their cell phone wondering why the hell they just lost reception.........

I'd think this would be a nightmare scenario on the road.

yeah, major pet peeve of mine. boiled down, it's a selfish person who's banal phone call is more important to them than your safety (and their own).

and, out of the car and around town, me and my kids laugh at those "great" parents ignoring their children right around them, to yap away with someone somewhere else. or worse, not even talking, just doing the crack-berry thing.

I just don't understand it.
