3 times in the last week I have almost been hit by idiots( all under the age of 30) on cell phones. The first time I was following a Trailblazer (on a 3 lane city street) a car length and a half behind. A stretch limo (with the driver on the phone) dives into that space in front of me, as I look out my pass window there is still 12 ft of his big a** car behind me! If I had been in my Explorer, I would have held my course, and let him take out the whole rt side of my car. But since smarts are hard to come by, I slammed on my brakes, and prayed the driver behind me realized what was going on and would not rear end me. Luckily they stopped about 2 feet away from my rear bumper. The second event was in a grocery parking lot, as I was driving down an aisle, a car filled with teenage girls,(the driver on the phone) comes whipping around the end of the row and almost slams right into me. She slammed on the brakes and smiles like it was no big deal. The third time was a guy on the phone, pulling out of a Lowes store parking lot ,onto a city street as I was turning into their drive. He looked to his left, but never bothered to look to his right, which was where I was turning from. He had a stop sign too. I slammed on my brakes so he would not hit me, luckily, there was no traffic behind me. He realized his error and sheepishly raised his hand like he was sorry.
