Got my Smart!

The wife and I got back yesterday with our smart. Put on 300+ miles on the way home. When we filled up in town and checked the mileage, it came out to 44/gallon! I wasn't expecting that high for the first fill up and with driving the bulk of the trip with the flow of traffic around 75-80mph. The ride is quite smooth, there is no engine noise, it's amazing! We got plenty of looks and several people approached and inquired about the little marvel. For a change, I can't wait to go to work on Monday!

That's pretty awesome about the gas mileage. We just picked up ours last night and my GF has been using it the whole time. I've not had a chance to drive it yet. I'm waiting for her to get home from work so I can drive it around the city. I'm excited about the gas mileage. I'll be the one laughing when I go by people at the pump paying for the gas for their giant SUV.

Black beagle, if you get to drive her smart alone, you should do what I did to my wifes cabrio. I took hers for a drive and put in 1.5 gallons of gas, I knew she was watching the trip odometer to figure her gas milage. A few days later she filled up and was so excited! 50 mpg! I was laughing pretty hard, she still does'nt know.
