Picked up our Smart Yesterday morning!!! Red/Black/Red Passion Coupe. We are absolutely thrilled. Didnt buy any extras except an additional 1 year on the warranty. Have been on Freeway and in traffic, on the flats and up decent grades. Liking shifting better than automatic and both my wife and I agree the ride is great and we don't know we are in a "small" car until we get out of it.
Was dissapointed that the dealer didn't have a scale model to buy. Anybody have source? Generally dissapointed in boutique items from dealer. I would have thought with the popularity that they could have "pre-stocked" a bit better.
Our neighbors already ran over and punded o the door wanting a ride. No problem. One at a time.
I financed the car. I drive a Ford F-350 fr my general contracting business but ave alo been using it to run errands and pick up my son from school etc. Rough estimates would say that my gas savings by not having to use the F-350 (10 mpg city, 14 hwy) will come close to payning for the car.
Any way....I appreciate all the great info and opinions I got from the forums prior to delivery. Now to find a local chapter/group to get together with. Northern Calif., Los Gatos.
