Green EZ-Pass. Will Smart be put on the list of accepted vehicles?

As of March 1st, EZ pass now has a special "green pass' discount. So far there are only three vehicles on their eligible list and Smart isn't one of them. Considering the latest EPA Smart ratings, will Smarts be on the list anytime soon?

wishful thinking, I'm afraid

According to ez pass website, eligibility for a green ez pass is limited to:

Vehicles which are certified to the California Super Ultra Low Emission Vehicle (SULEV) standard and achieve a United State Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) highway fuel economy rating of 45 miles per gallon or more

Damn! I use my EZ Pass every weekend and I think it should be added to the list because it's cute and it really does try to get to 45 MPG.

That is some very strict standards, CT has a similar list for tax exemption and they state that the vehicle must achieve 40 mpg in either rating.
