Hail Damage to our Smarts

We all know the look of a speckled car after a hail storm passes. So with our Smarts does anyone have an area of concern that could pose a threat to the hail? The panels should be fine. The only thing I'm concerned about is the tridon cell getting little dents, and the windshield being smashed in.

No more susceptible than any other car.

I believe that there is no more danger of hail damage than to any other car. The poly roof could take a pretty good whack without damage. The same goes for the body panels. If the panels were damaged, the repair time could be much less due to how they attach. The windshield is no more susceptible than any other car. The Tridon is a small percentage of the outer surface and could be repaired in a conventional manner if damaged.

The only downside I can think of might be the availability of replacement parts, which will get better as time goes by.

I hate to sound like a broken record, but this may be another thing that I would suggest you not lose sleep over. Just drive and enjoy the car

Buy a car cover to protect the car.

Thanks for the reply's everyone. I felt pretty confident in the Smart and its hail performance. I just wanted to hear the real-world results. If it ever hails in my area, I goto a shopping cart garage before it hits to protect the car.
