I'm headed out for a weekend in the Big Apple in 10 days. I was disappointed to read that the half price parking program for smarts in some lots was only in effect through December 31, 2008.
Is anyone aware of any lots that continued the program into '09? Especially in Tribeca.
I pulled into a parking lot in Monterey a few weeks back and told the attendant I only needed half a spot, so he charged me half price and had me park between two planter boxes. The car looked more like it was on display.
At my first car wash, nearly a year ago, the attendant commented that I only had half of a car.
"So I only pay half for a wash, eh?", says I.
Perplexed, he finally blurted "We'll wash it twice as good."
My detailer charged me half price the first couple of times until he realized it still has nooks and crannies to clean. 30 bucks for a full wash and detail, another 10 for wax... great deal, considering it took him 4 hours. Now he charges me 50 bucks. But it looks amazing when he's done.
