Hard start with warm engine.

Has anyone else had an issue with the engine not starting on the first try when the engine is warm/hot. What I am have happening is, if I drive to the store and come back out to leave the store in about 10 to 15 minutes the engine will not want or try to start on the first try. If I turn to key off completely then try to start it the second time, it starts just fine. This only happens when the engine had just been running a short period of time before, not on cold starts.

holding the key in the start position for a long enough time or do you wait a second or two after turning the key to the ON position before moving the key to the start position? There is a delay between the actual key movement and the boot-up of the EEC that is normal.

Hard start with warm engine--RESOLVED.

The problem finally was resolved. It would lose 4 or 5 pounds of fuel pressure. So at a warm start it would shut down the needed systems to start the engine. With the first try of cranking to engine the fuel pressure was restored to the correct pressure and would pop right off with the next attempt. The fuel pump assembly was replaced to correct this issue.
