Hard Working Smart Car.

5,100 miles 2 months ownership.

The car is doing well and we are making out like a bandit driving this thing (even compared to our Subie).

We have had minor problems, but thanks to Smart Bloomfield's super service, the inconvenience was tolerable. (shifter stuck and false alarm sounding).

Yesterday a trip to the golf course with two bags of clubs (and our spare tire in place) with room left over in the boot.

The trans is still learning "D" and will still shift into 5th at around 1,800 Rs in city traffic. But the rest of shift sequence seems right on.

I use stick, wife drives "D" and we get 42-43 MPG always.

A2Jack.

How did you fit 2 set of clubs in the back, did you have them both on the passenger side or in the trunk?

Clubs only in boot (trunk). but did pull out and lay down the drivers from one bag, but still all in boot.

Good results so far here as well. 6500 miles so far. No shifter problem yet (I shift it very easy).
