Has any Smart owner out there smart for advertising?

Hello,
First excuse my spelling, it SUCKS!
I was just wondering if anyone has used thier smart to advertise a bussiness, and if so, how does it work, like how much does the bussiness pay you to put thier name on your car etc. just wondering is all.

This ones been discussed here before once or twice. I thought of it a few months ago. I know in my city a large billboard costs several thousand dollars - my city isn't that large but it's not small either. I had considered them making my car note, insurance, plus gas with the guarantee from me I would put X,XXX of miles per month on my car - 2,000 miles was my magic number as I drive a lot. Somewhere along the lines of $500 per month until the fad wears out - the Smart being the latest fad.

The one consideration was the liability issue, if I do something wrong with that company name on the side of my car. I am going to do a good sized magnet up for the side and park it outside of my buddy's business for a couple hours. That'll be for free though.

Hey thanks for the info..does a magnet work on the panels? I thought they were just made of plastic????
I thought of doing this also, but I still do not have my Smart yet..the fad will be over by the time time I finally get my smart!LoL
I was told by my dealer, that I could get one in 3 months on the orphan list. In fact I need to e-mail him..Hmmmmm????

You can put a magnet on the Tridion, the panels are plastic.

That's what my friend has asked me to do, diagonal on the tridion cell. He has supplied me with hundreds of gallons of veggie oil so I owe it to him.

Oh, make yourself a nuisance to your dealer calling them everyday asking if they have a orphan yet. If you bother them enough they'll break. Are we there yet, are we there yet, are we there yet, are we there yet.......

Does your friend stock tires for the smart car? If so, what is the name and location of the store?

I had my Smart wrapped to advertise my own business. Probably the best advertising money I've ever spent. The wrap would be quite noticeable on any car, but on a Smart, every passing driver turns their heads. No doubt, my second Smart due oct -dec 2008 will be wrapped right away!
