Has anyone filed complaints with the FCC or BBB

Just wondering if anyone has filed complaints with the Federal Trade Commision or the Better Business Bureau in rergard to the reservation process. No way should people with similar reserve numbers be 12 to 15 months apart on delivery

I believe the reservation numbers are regional. That would account for the vast differences in delivery dates, configuation invitations, etc.

Exactly what would the complaint be? They don't HAVE to sell a car to you anymore than you HAVE to buy one. This is a want vs need thing. But hey, lawyer up, someone will take it.

It's just stupid how they do it. Originally they acted like if you reserved a car you'd be among the first to receive it but in my case people that reserves 2 months after me have received cars. I'm so sick of this topic, If I was to do it all over again I'd just go the orphan route for sure..

That's what I mean. We are required to buy from our assigned dealer and because of that we may have to wait over a year longer to get our Smart. I'll go with a couple of months, but 12 to 15 has gotta have some legal issues

If those deliveries were at your assigned dealership I guess I would wonder too. Were they?

Have you configured? What reservation number do you hold. What dealer are you assigned? Have you been given a VIN? Just trying to determine where you are in the system...

Dealerships shouldn't matter. Reservation numbers should. No one should have to wait that much longer beacause of the assigned dealer location. Like I said, a couple of months is no issue, but over a year for people who reserved on the same day is a cluster.

God Knows, I am not going to try and explain the reservation system. Dealership does matter with respect to your res#. Imagine you are in line at your Department of Motor Vehicles waiting for #345 to be called. I am in California (Sacramento) with the same number. The guy in front of you doesn't have his paperwork filled out and stays at the counter to do it. In the mean time, in Sacramento; I get called to the desk "Now helping #345". Then the person behind me gets called; Number 346. As you continue to wait for Homer to fill out his paperwork! I hope no one with a RES# higher than yours has gotten their car from your assigned dealership before you. If so please post that information as we are all trying to see some order in this system.
