Huh? Where do you get those numbers from.....they've only been delivering cars for 3 months now! (2 to 5 months apart on the same rezo number would be more believable!)

I hope no one with a RES# higher than yours has gotten their car from your assigned dealership before you. If so please post that information as we are all trying to see some order in this system.
GREAT analogy and right on the money !

Who said anything about sueing????. Just wondered if any complaints were filed.
JEEZ
I still think the process is a cluster. Smart and PFG give us no info, I can only see by posts what numbers are configuring and what number are picking up their cars. I am looking at 22 months from a Sept 30 2007 reserve date

I can only offer you some fine gouda cheese to go along with your original post.

Have you e-mailed smartUSA to see if you were sent a config. invite. That could be an option and might help with the lack of information gap that is bothering you. The Orphan route is very satisfying if you just want a car and perhaps you could get lucky and find one exactly like what you intend to configure.

this complaint will always exist

Complaints like this have been around before Smart ever came to the US. I have been on lists for other hot cars that had several month to years. I was on the list for the Beetle when it first came out. I got pissed off too because I thought everyone else was getting theirs before me. When I got one of the first Audi TTs, I decided there had to be other ways to get one besides waiting a year. I got one in a month. The Smart is no different. If you want one quickly there are plenty of ways to get one. I can get one within a week without paying anything over sticker. There will always be waiting lists, always people who complain about them, and always to get them quicker than waiting.
