Has anyone here changed their configuration?

I'm calling Smart tomorrow to change my config. Just wondering what to expect. I have heard it sets your delivery back a month and that's no big deal for me, but I just want to make sure they will allow a change this late in game. I'm a 1209 and configured early December. All I want to do is drop the comfort package and change interior to red/black.

I called the smart 800 number to change my configuration just like you. I originally configured in September and made the call in October. I got an e-mail acknowledging my new configuration on November 1. It delayed my car by about two weeks. No big deal.

Thanks sisyphus. Just an update here from me. I called 1 800 Smart USA to change my configuration and they told me to change your configuration you need to email them with the following statement in the body of your email:

"I authorize Smart USA to make the following changes to my configuration"

Then I guess you just list your changes. I did this, but haven't heard anything back yet. Hopefully they get back to me letting me know what delays this will cause. You can use the "contact us" email on the smartusa website to send your email or you can email to customer-service@ib-smart.net
