Just my 2-cents but with such a short wheel base and rear engine I would suggest the skinny tires up front are there to induce under steer.

The whole matter has been discussed at length here:

New wheels/tires have transformed the car

So....

How does just using the rear size tires on the stock front wheels work out? Do the tires "ride" a bit nicer on the front wheel size?

I was considering getting a set of tires so I would have at least one in the garage in the " unlikely event " of a damaged tire. I'm SURE we won't wear out a set of tires within a year at the rate we're going. Tire wear seems to be relatively normal at the 3700 mile mark.

I just thought it would be maybe better to run the rear tire pattern on the front in winter conditions, and it would for sure be easier to just have one tire size to purchase and store. I don't really have a problem with the way the car handles with the stock front tires in general. I just don't like having two tire sizes to deal with. I never bought a Turbo Carrera Porsche cuz I didn't want to have to mess with two tire sizes AND I couldn't afford one either but that is a whole nuther thing altogether... ;-)

I thought it was just me in thinking that the front wheels were narrower than the back. It seems similar to a dragster which has smaller wheels in front than the back. It could be another reason there is no spare since one would have to have one for the front and a different one for the back?

Great Stuff!

I wonder how the larger front tires might
relate in improving front wheel thrashing when towing...
