Haulling a Fortwo

Sounds dumb BUT,will a Fortwo fit on the bed of a pick up? Might be tight fit,but the weight sure wouldn't be a problem.Just thinking about getting it home, but we probly have a year for that.
Probly depends on the tire/axel width.

You certainly are not going to pick it up to get it into the bed are you? if you cannot drive it, a trailer would be a much eaisier & safer way to go.

The smart is five feet wide; don't think many pickup beds can handle that between the wheel arches.

How to get my Smart home!?

Bob,

Let me know what you end up deciding. I am also 300 miles or so from my dealer and I am in a very snowy region. I do not wish to drive my new car 300 miles in the snow for my first ride. I reserved on day 1 (1173) and confirmed on September 15th. I have received the within 30 days of delivery email so am hoping to get it soon. I have also though about renting a U-Haul car carrier to bring it home. Thoughts?

Hauling your fortwo?

Why not rent a car, drive to Logan and return home in the car?

hauilin fortwo to Traverse City

Living in Oscoda for two years, know what Feb. and March can be like. Stopped at a u haul place yeaterday. They have car carriers, about 40 bucks a day. Can get one when you pick the car up,and drop it off at home.
Then you have all the time to break it in and not be really stuck in the middel of nowear if something does get missed at the factory. Nice first drive might be to see what it does going over the BIG MAC and back. Almost lost a camper on the bridge one time. Good luck .
