I am res #1180 and received my e-mail today also for delivery in 30 days. smart center Portland (OR). The e-mail says that I should expect the dealer to contact me within seven days but heck, I've already been there and chatted them up when they opened two Monday's ago. I wonder if I'll still get the call? I'm so excited but some earlier posts to this thread are scaring me.

I heard They were tring to get 250 to 350 car out for january. thay didn't even hit the 200 mark. at this rate they will only get 2400 a year. even at 350 a month that's only 4200 in the usa for 2008. I hope they get this thing worked out soon

I got my vin today and I tracked it. My car was loaded on to the ship Medea and it is scheduled to arrive in the port of Baltimore on 2/15/08!! This is going to be the longest two weeks ever!!

And then some...they're still trying to get cars out of Baltimore that have arrived a month ago! (Of course, your delivery is still a LOT closer then mine, so congrats, you're almost there!)

I just made a change to my order and they accepted it, so it has not even entered production yet. No big deal, I am not in any hurry for it.

My wife and I have two Smarts reserved, a Passion and a Cabrio. Both reservation numbers end in 1180. I got a call from smartcenterDallas this afternoon with news that Passion will arrive in one to two weeks. No word on the Cabrio yet.
